It’s personalized, pure-audio bliss! A professionally built, point-to-point, hand-wired Bottlehead Output Transformer-Less (OTL) Vacuum Tube Headphone Amplifier in a custom, high-gloss wooden storage case.
Imagine listening to your favorite albums through your favorite "audiophile" quality headphones, powered by an amazing vacuum tube amplifier for less than $1,000! Run the pre-out of your existing receiver, a SACD or other output device through this amp and enjoy pure tube audio amplification through an amazing pair of "audiophile"-quality headphones (not included).
The cabinet features a locking hinge design, with a storage compartment for your headphones and a pillow for storing an additional pair. We also include also storage for the 6 ft, 14 Gauge, three-pronged, 110V-grounded power cable (included), and extra storage for source cables (not included).
This is a beautiful combination of a true, analog headphone amplifier, and a uniquely designed storage container that provides a perfect, pure-audio package for the serious listener.
A professionally built Bottlehead OTL Vacuum Tube Amplifier.
The amplifier has been tested thoroughly to ensure long life, and includes a NOS JAN 6080 and 12AU7 (or equal) tubes, providing many hours of use. A Bottlehead PT-3 power transformer feeds the power supply configuration of ultrafast rectifiers supplying a simple C-R-C-R-C supply, with plenty of capacitance for a quiet background. A 12AU7 (or equal) is directly coupled to a 6080 tube configured as a cathode follower, and Panasonic electrolytic capacitors are used for output coupling. Tweak to your hearts content, tube rolling different 12AU7 and 6080/6AS7 variants, and ample storage fro further customization.
